CODE.ORG
There are many organizations that promote online Computer Science and Computer Programming education and learning resources.
This page focuses on Code.org and their Hour of Code initiative that integrates with Minecraft. Code.org was created in 2013 for students to learn about Computer Science and Computer Programming. Many of their learning resources and tutorials are based within Minecraft.
HOUR OF CODE
The code.org Hour of Code started as a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code", to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer Science.
It has since become a worldwide effort to celebrate computer science, starting with 1-hour coding activities but expanding to all sorts of community efforts.
The Hour of Code initiative has given millions of students in 180 countries in 45 different languages the opportunity to learn Computer Science and coding skills from the 100+ one hour Computer Science tutorials.
The side function bar option lets you refine your search for tutorials by year level, classroom technology, topics, activity type, length, accessibility and language.
